Lasagna sounds like a hassle. It isn’t. Quick guide here we go.
You will need-
1 box lasagna sheets
1 lb ground beef
1 lb sausage of your choice
1/2 lb or 2 cups shredded Mozarella cheese
8 oz, ricotta cheese
1 large jar of marinara/pasta sauce of your choice.
Step 1-
Cook your beef and sausage until thoroughly brown using the seasonings of your choice.. These can be in 1 pan together, or 2 separate pans. Just remember to drain the grease.
Step 2-
Preheat oven to 350° F. While heating, you should also boil the Lasagna noodles to soften. You should leave noodles al dente, or slightly firm in the very center. Just go with your box’s instructions.
Step 3-
Lasagna, ASSEMBLE! Place into your oven-safe dish of choice and layer. Typical order goes sauce, noodles, meat, sauce, noodles, cheese, sauce, noodle…. you get the point. You can do whatever order you like, but I would recommend saving a good handful of Mozarella to melt over the top later.
Step 4-
Cover pan and heat for 30-40 mins depending on your oven. Secondly, uncover, and let it cook for another 5-15 mins, again temperature varying. Lastly, 2-3 mins from the end I would add the last of my Mozza over the top to melt and seal in the flavors, letting it rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking to settle the sauce.
